I do not like how the author decribes Fanny price/ Bertram. Sie is as shy as she was as a child.

And i think my main Problem is the descriptions because the author can't rely on the knowledge of the reader about those Times. Society demands... a proper Lady behaves... it makes it sound so artificial

ich liebe agatha christie, aber hier mogelt sie sich etwas durch. Parker Pyne ist sehr nahe an Hercule Poirot, aber es fehlt ihm der liebevolle Counterpart ala Hastings. außerdem verwendet sie nicht nur Titel doppelt 'Death on the Nile', sondern auch der 'plot twist' von 'the cornish mystery' wird hier schamlos recycelt.
