It is very irritating to read the characters thoughts and then read them act the opposite until some conflict happens that then makes them reveals the truth.

So fat Benedict and Collin have been most uninteresting. They are just a copy of the Duke and Anthony. The male characters are one dimensional. And the women as well; although a bit more interesting read.
The carriage ride after Collin discover that Pen is Whistledown is very comical.

When it comes to the Brighton men the stories seems to be particularly similar. Except for the stories of the ladies although Pen is sounding more and more like every other female smitten with the Bridgertons. If the middle is as tedious as the beginning, then gentle readers, we may move on to Eloise story.

This novels seems to take a lot from Stephen King and in particular his book Rose Madder. And also the beginning of the book Halloween by John Carpenter.

The story of what happens to the characters are so different from the series as for example killing off LaGuerta on the first book. Still Vince Maatsuoka, Doaks and Debra act the same.

This is going to be made into a movie. The Hallmark channel. Will they call the movie 50 Shades of Purple? Because it reads like that other book minus the BDSM. So far, it reads like a Jr High novel with all the syrup you can pour on it. Lily is an insult to women. The only interesting character is Atlas, but I don't think we will get much on him since this seems to be focused on Lily and Ryle's relationship.

Interesting observations, but nothing really new for those who have studied history.

After the first chapter, I almost gave up on this book. But since reading I Know Where the Crawdads Sing, I should give this the same consideration. Its not a very nice story. Hopefully it has a good ending ...

This is Dave Grohl. Not the drummer for Nirvana or Foo Fighters frontman and 18-time Grammy winner.
But Dave fucking Grohl.

Two of the sister's are taken to Auschwitz while the middle child is saved as she is sick in hospital.
Same horrors as in The Tattooist of Auschwitz and Cilca's Journey. Same enrichment of Germany by slave labor.

Francisco is on page 326 of 400 of The Mayan Secrets (A Sam and Remi Fargo Adventure)
It feels like white people with too much money and too much time on their hands and the natives don't know what to do to preserve their own culture. And here they come to save the day.
Still, There is the commentary how foreigners have devastated Central America for their own profits. And continue to do so.
