DNF on chapter 10. Way too many social media references, half a chapter about selling feet pics 🤮…lost my interest fast. Will be my last attempt from this author!

DNF on pg 24: I’ve started this book twice and both times can’t tell you a single thing I’ve read. It reads like the whole chapter is just one long sentence. Imagine an obnoxious man that thinks he’s the smartest man in the room and he keeps talking about irrelevant content. That’s what this feels like.

I should have went against my gut and gave in to a Christmas cheesy romance instead. Thought crime would be safe. 2 chapters in and I’m too distracted by the social media talk, a character whining over a past boyfriend, and discussing gender identity to focus on the story. DNF!

DNF before the first chapter is over. First sentence reference to LSU and Roll Tide… First few pages discussed phone apps, what was trending, and use of
hashtags.

13 minutes in and we’ve mentioned Amazon, iPhone, Audi, and Jeff Bezos full email address. Immediate DNF.

Praying this gets better since I bought the entire series
