Brooo are you trying to tell me time beckons us all????

When I started reading this book I was like okay cool, I love a cabin in the woods!

And now I’m reading this book like, are any of us capable of determining our own destiny? Are we all sprouted from the same poison apple? Set to suffer the fate as those before us and those ahead of us?

I still can’t figure out what’s happening or who anyone is or why people are named what they’re named or like anything at all. I have been reading the wiki and googling every chapter synopsis and it feels like I am trying to translate the book but just keep getting Cold War ciphers.

Must admit I feel dumb as a box of rocks trying to read this book. Finally the final boss of “never remembering any character or location’s name” is here to get me. 😩😩 who tf is Ortus?? I thought he was the wimp mommas boy?? Are there two?? I’m lost

I blame Megan for this cursed buddy read but the irrelevant quotes from this actually go so hard I am enjoying reading it just for the unexpected creative writing metaphors a la: “I’m stewing. Nana used to make this god-awful stew when I was young. It smelled like a dumpster fire and tasted even worse. My attitude is about as foul as that stew right now.” Like girl what

Forcing myself to go to bed at precisely 11:59 instead of finishing this book in one big gulp as it so clearly deserves to be read!!
