I love staying up after midnight on a work night reading, it makes me feel like I am a child during the summer again

How is this my second book in a row with surprise cannibalism mentions??

How the hell did I not know this was a cannibalism book going into it, this is horrifying and a terrible bedtime book

I don’t quite *get it* yet

Listening on audio while dealing with a concussion and definitely fell asleep for 20-30 minutes but not sure when/what part of the plot I missed. Maybe revealing? But will enjoying it so far

I really wish there was just a smidge more character development which feels absurd to say considering how much backstory we are provided. Feels like a lot of telling not showing

Reading this while OPEC falls apart while drilling on a barge with former oilmen is an insane experience

This makes me miss home in such a painful and familiar way

Im listening to this BS audiobook while doing mindless work tasks and I didn’t even want to log it but I have to because I need to complain about how BAD this girl is at this job. Also kinda at life. Frustrating female characters, typical of the genre
