Typically I love these books and their candy. I read quickly so it's not like I put it down and come back to it ages later (i started yesterday) - but I'm actually getting annoyed with her jumping between first and last names with such a big cast of suspects. PICK ONE. I keep having to double check who is who.

CH 11: This book is definitely more complex than her others. There's a lot going on emotionally and action wise.

I HATE that the title gives it away. I'm struggline to be like WE FREAKING KNOW HE'S A SPY BC OF THE TITLE, TLET'S GET ON WITH IT.

It kind of pisses me off if you can't tell, but I hate when a book is sold on a premise and the premise doesn't hit early in the book.

AHHHH I just realized this is the last one out. I think I'm going to save it for next weekend to savor.

Trying to remember the last time it took me this long to read a book this length...especially when I'm skimming about 30-60% per chapter. *sigh*

this is the most skimmable book i've read in a long time. PAGES of introspection. A lot of the time about things like "when I get home I need to work on the infastructure of my land <2 pages of examples of infastructure>

On vacation and reading all these one right after another - I"m struggling with this one bc of the lying :(

The conflict shows up.

I'm trying to realize if this book is just going to keep missing now. If it's off the rails (for me) and can't recover. That "humorous" moment wasn't the least bit funny to me.

"We'll wreck your couch," she gasped. "We need a blanket."

BC that's sexy. You know, we don't need everything in these sexy times...fantasy is good.

The amount of time these two have been in the same state, let alone on the page together, is so minimal that I'm like... Eh.

Right, you're helping a woman get a job bc her bazillionaire husband she wants to leave won't have to pay child support or alimony. Uh-huh. Sure.

Logic...who needs it?

This is the story of Mr. Perfect and Ms. Perfect in their 1-percenter lifestyles who have a relatively small reason for staying apart.

In which this book pisses off every Christian woman ever.

Seriously - Mr. Perfect considers going to church to find a wife even though he's not "religious" but figures that all those women who "paled in comparison" would consider him a trouble maker because of his... long hair.

I can't even break down everything that's wrong with this statement.

It always feels horrible giving a bad review to a book not even out yet *sigh*

ME to the over-emotional, hypocritical hero: OH, COME ON!

Also, the hero keeps rolling his eyes.

I SO WANT to love this book. Why am I not loving this book? *sigh*

In which the military hero realizes he should have done something that the rest of us realized he should have done 25% of the book ago.

HUH - just looked at her bio. She's a military wife. Well, I'm glad she feels that way then...I wish it were true in all areas of our country.

Also, wondering if this author lives in the same USA as me:

"You're English. I'm sure it's different there, but in the US, the military is everything. We do anything we can to help; we bend over backward for them."

In a country where our military can't even get healthcare I'm like, WHAT?

Struggling with this book - weak set up for 3rd book. Some places over info dump, some I was like HUH?

How did I get so far behind on my reading when I was 12 books ahead the first half of the year? Wonder if I forgot to log stuff or have been just been really busy.

this is paced so much slower than the others

Also, where has her adviser gone...the one who was so protective? Huh? Huh? Huh?

The Jealous-of-Olivia subplot doesn't even make sense since she knows that he hadn't even been touched by anyone, held hands, kissed, etc before.

My eye rolling is giving me a migraine

Does the math on how old the heroine is:

BA + Masters + a few years teaching = late 20s

Does math on how old heroine is acting:

Pouting + nonsensical jealousy + emotional cheating = 12

Also, if my boyfriend was behaving with someone else they way she's behaving with Julian, I would say it was cheating.

Physical cheating, no but this book will be getting a "Yes" next to my cheating question.

I will say this, I'm confused by all the 5 and 4 stars. Unless something amazing happens soon, there's no way it's that in my book *waits for something to happen*
