Going to try this as a palette cleanser before I jump into more fantasy. I hope the Netflix show wasn’t a direct copy of this book or I’m going to be a little bored

Just had like 5 chapters in a row from the same pov

Finally got some of the big character moments I needed, and hugeeeee plot points have happened. I’m still a little confused about the actual enemy and religion aspects of the book, but none of the characters know either so I guess we’re all in the same place 😅

Okay things are starting to pick up, but going to be so honest I’m a little bit confused because this is a limited narrator perspective and even though the main character is the chosen one he knows like nothing about anything

Okay the other POVs are starting to pick up, but tbh it’s all plot?? The whole book so far has been just go-go-go and I’m missing the character development of the first installation. A lot of changes have happened since the first book and I think we’ve spent a total of 10 pages on them?

I accidentally saw a spoiler that one of my favorite characters dies and I have lost motivation to keep reading lmao

I am so pumped for this book. Just ended on a really climatic chapter so I’m probably going to devour this after work even through I should be knitting my sweater 😅

I loveeeee it with authors release previews before the book is released! 8 chapters wasn’t enough, give me the whole book now!!
