Begging these characters to have any kind of spark outside the bedroom. Where's the tension? Where's the oomph? Argh, this is so boring!!

Hmm. I'm not enjoying this as much as I thought I would. Bummer.

I'm probably gonna DNF this one because everything about this is old hat even though I was promised REFRESHING and DIFFERENT. She's "not like the other girls", he's already making her do things she never thought she'd do. Please. Also super irritated that all of the POC have their races defined but the white ones don't. Do not like.

MESS!!!
1. Heroine is blind so ofc she needs to be reminded of how hot the hero is on since she can't wax on and on about it her damn self.
2. Italian hero sounds like Sylvester Stallone (YUCK!) and constantly listens to Frank Sinatra. YOOOOOO FOR REAL?!
3. Okay, so Taylor has these tics that are starting to drive me up the wall: "even though" is used over 50 times in this book. :/

"And I said, 'I'll have what's she's having.' And-"
"Oh that's good," he laughed. "When Harry Met Sally...tell me you two laughed over that."

These two characters bond over the fact that they know THE most well known movie quotes and they act like it's this amazing thing. The fact that the heroine's blind date had no idea what she was talking about is actually REFRESHING!!!

Not feeling this. I don't like being inside either of their heads, already exhausted by the WANTNEEDMUSTCLAIMMATE. If y'all say so...

Will probably DNF. There's something about this author's writing that doesn't work for me. It's feels like it was written by a pantser, and that's fine, but there are so many character inconsistencies and ya know...they should've been fixed. And does every romance author watch Supernatural? My goodness.

Pretty painful so far. I'm not buying that the heroine is good at her job or even The Best At What She Does, and the hero's characterization is making me cringe. He speaks super clinically but thinks the heroine has "fuckable lips".

Way too many mentions of blond hair in this book.

This book totally makes me think of those delusional fans who believe Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are actually together and scrutinize every interview, etc. I feel like this book would be right up their alley.

Could've sworn Yoshi was implied Japanese/East Asian in the first book, now he's clearly Zayn Malik. NICE.

This is super cute so far. Bonus: The heroine just said "hella". I feel at home.

I'm enjoying this. BUT. This dude has the most basic lawyer skills and heroine is in awe. "You're good." Lololololololol.

This is the THIRD book where a statement about Bella and the evidence supporting it do not match up. Lord, I can't stand mouthpieces.
