It's mind boggling how the descendants of Cornelius Vanderbilt Senior blew through 4.5 billion dollars (8.5 billion if you count what his son doubled his fortune to after his death) leaving the Vanderbilts of today virtually penniless. This book is a great cautionary tale of the pitfalls of excessive wealth (greed, jealousy, coveting) and shows you that the old adage is true; money can't buy happiness.
