Holy crap, this book is hot!

Interesting.

Not sure which is the most offensive part of this story--but I'm leaning towards the stylists.

When I read "Effie", I think "Effing". Can't imagine I'm the only one who's done this.

Trying to understand the food-mood connection. I thought everyone would eat three cookies instead of just one, given the chance. Apparently not! :-o

Father Timothy is so dim about women--I want to shake him and say, "Wake up, man!" Good grief, his character is exasperating!

"Want to read about servant leadership. This one is written in the form of a parable--easy to read and understand. So far, it's a little predictable, but I'm kind of enjoying walking through the journey with the executive. A couple of laugh-out-loud moments already, and I'm only on page 11!"

I'm really enjoying M. F. K. Fisher's "malicious, scoffing, or just plain peevish" writing about food.

*Gasp* I sense a kindred spirit! Oh, I am going to enjoy reading Mary Frances's writings thoroughly!

Reading this book while eating Sechler's Sweet Heat pickles straight out of the jar :-d
