Wow! I completed the book within 48 hours because I couldn't put it down. It was worth my lack of sleep. The twist at the end was absolutely delightful. I'm now watching the series based off Sharp Objects, I hope it respects the book.

whoa, love it. wasn't really expecting this book to hold my attention, but it has been hard to put down. very unique.. and sexy in the most peculiar way!

I find it difficult to put this book down once I pick it up. I find so much meaning within the sentences. It leaves me occupied with such deep thought..

"The Apt Pupil" .. about the atrocities of the Holocaust and an adolescents pure fascination with blackmailing a former Nazi soldier to fulfill his dark interest.

I enjoyed the last 75% of it. For me it felt as though parts dragged on. In retrospect I am glad I read it and the story was satisfying. Prison violence and violation and crawling through a dark wall full of pipes is intimidating to me. However, I perfer the more supernatural approach to Stephen King stories.

"when smiles fade".. yes they certainly do in this story. I knew Salvatore was keeping a secret.. (mafia aside). how unfortunate, I really liked him.

Ethan makes my skin crawl, even after being gone. Salvatore is sexy. I hope this is the point where things stay fairly positive.

the worst instances of rape are not unusual to this story at all. one inch of hope is closely followed by a yard of hell..

Oh chain of events just keep getting better and better... or not. definitely juicy and leaves me on edge!

I hope Ethan doesn't turn out to be a psycho!
