Chapter 4, where I finally managed to stop bawling like a lost child literally every time I hear Sagan's voice. Now I only break down and cry *occasionally*.

Es un logro bastante impresionante cuando las casi 400 páginas de descripciones vívidas y gráficas de mutilaciones y asesinatos y tortura y robos y varios delitos y la vida en un prisión Mexicano y la pobreza y desesperación general son el parte más ligero de tu novela.

Con cada capítulo estoy perdiendo ganas de vivir, pero se me aumentan las ganas de seguir leyendo la novela. A ver si algo cambiará con la parte de los crímenes.

Hasta aquí, una bestia bastante rara. Aunque 2666 es escrita de una manera relativamente realista, la novela a que más me recuerda es la trilogía Illuminatus! de Wilson y Shea, una chiste larga y pesada sin ningún desenlace. Pero, donde Illuminatus! es psicodélica de una manera frívola, despertando fuertes ganas de vivir y disfrutar la vida, la psicodelia de Bolaño funciona en la dirección completamente opuesta.

¡Oh, dulce Jesús mio! ¿Qué he cometido? La lectura durará una verdadera eternidad y hay tantos otros libros que me interesan en ese momento. A pesar de esto, no puedo dejar este libro - aunque no hay casi ningúna verdadera trama, la escritura de Bolaño es perfectissima.
