I'm 100 pages in and this book is kicking my ass; but it's like a box within a box covered with butcher paper. . . like peeling back layer after layer. It's incredibly descriptive, almost confusing...captivating. So far, enjoying it. <3

You do not know how fast you have been running, how hard you have been working, how truly exhausted you are, until someone stands behind you and says, “its OK, you can fall down now. Ill catch you.” 😭

I felt this to my soul. My dad was an alcoholic, til the day that demon took his life. I always believed him when he said he’d stop. Held onto it with a child-like faith. 🖤..Each & every time.

Ms. Bennett is not letting me process anything! So much going on in this book! 🫣
