Voy despacito con él porque lo estoy disfrutando mogollón, pero es que esto tira como un cohete a reacción

"El manzano": Relato muy Shirley Jacson adyacente. Más que generar miedo te genera un malestar de la hostia respecto a los roles de género de los años 30/40 y lo que implicaba un matrimonio en esa época (o deshacerte del tuyo). Muy interesante y con muchas capas, la verdad es que me ha parecido muy buen relato.

No mires ahora: Lo siento Daphne, pero en este caso la peli le quedó a Roeg mejor que el libro. El cuento es inquietante y su atmósfera funciona súper bien, pero su final me ha recordado a mis relatos menos favoritos de Mariana Enriquez, categoría que me gusta definir como: Susto gordo pa`nah

This is SO much fun and SO easy to read, truly the mix of high fantasy and murder mystery elevates this along with Neema as a narrator so SO much. Some bits of dialogue don't work as well as they should, and the style does feel sometimes a little bit too of "our world", but still, great fun, can't wait to comment it on Monday and continue reading

Leer a Le Guin, aún en sus historias no tan memorables, es terrible para mí porque me hace darme cuenta del panorama absolutamente horrible que ha erigido el capital en torno a la publicación de fantasía y cifi contemporánea frente al horizonte de posibilidades e intencionalidad que había en los géneros especulativos hace 30 o 40 años.

De cuando en cuando te tienes que meter por el culo unos relatos de Le Guin de palate cleanser y para recuperar la fé en la humanidad.

De momento puede que mi Winterson menos favorito? :(
Me gusta mucho cómo Jeannette suele hablar de género, clase y disidencia, pero en este libro no sé si por los años o porque tiene un hilo conector mucho menos preciso la nota dispersa e incluso aposentada para lo que suele ser la abuela lesbiana escribiendo.

The titular "Stag Dance" novella feels a little overlong compared to the other short-stories but, man, did it have me gasping and murmuring how much I love transgender fiction every couple of scenes.

"The Chaser" might be one of the most affecting short stories I have read in a long while and I need to run through a field and scream while I cry
