Napoleon drives Snowball out of the farm with brute force. Boxer is the role model of the animals but he is too naive. He believes that anything Napoleon says must be true. Squealer, who spreads propaganda, makes the animals believe anything. At the very end, the pigs start standing on two legs and the animals can't tell them apart from the humans whom they were trying to avoid in the first place.

The animals have driven Mr. Jones and the other humans out of Manor and renamed it Animal Farm. They have been self-sufficient so far. Farmer Jones tried to take the farm back but they successfully defended from him. This is called the Battle of the Cowshed.

Esperanza finally realizes how important her name is (because it means "hope"). After the many fates of other women, she tries to make her own. She starts writing poems.

Esperanza is still trying to make friends, like at the place she worked. She still doesn't see Nenny as a possible best friend. She also acts too idealistic.
