First book of 2026. I'm not sure this is a good idea … :)

Had to quit reading. So much casual misogyny, it's like reading instructions on how to hate women in wartime.

Just started the audiobook and keep bursting out laughing. People at the gym are giving me funny looks. Don’t care!

What a bizarre and unique story. Thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Lost interest. Very navel-gazey and hardly any substance beyond privileged white woman complaints.

Exile in Guyville is one of maybe four albums that has stayed on whatever listening device I currently own since 1993. So when I randomly saw Liz Phair would be doing a book signing in Pasadena a few months ago, I was like, "What? She's writing books now too? Is there no end to this woman's greatness?" She was brilliant at the interview she did at the book-signing, and I finally started Horror Stories last night.

This novel is essentially an endless series of the male protagonist mansplaining survival skills to the helpless female protagonist. Nothing like the movie, and a big disappointment.

I'm a big Dennis Lehane fan, and this book is grabbing me just as much as his Gennaro/Kenzie series. It's that good, not to mention the exploration of Navajo culture it provides.

Second time attempting to read this one. Maybe I'll like it better than I did 15 years ago.

Got tired of all of King's female characters in this series being presented almost exclusively as sexual objects or witches/crones. Quit reading.

Just reached Part 3. My gawd it's been a Big Ride.

Sitting at the pool with my iPad--love that wifi reaches this far--and starting a new book. Good, clean fun.

This is the first book on cycling I've read, and I'm quite enjoying learning about one man's experiences growing into a professional cycling career. I attended Garmin's team presentation in 2011 and had a great time listening to David's responses to the audience Q&A portion of the evening. His book is just as engaging and enlightening.

Holy gawd, the first two chapters epitomize my army experience. It's like I re-enlisted.

I'm riveted! Scott knows how to add pace and texture to a steampunk story with the best of them!

Oh, the incredible texture Scott is creating. I can't put it down!
