Read a few random chapters around the dinner table and had to return it to the library. This is one we are going to order. Chapters are the perfect length to share as a family and enough information is included to satisfy the novice to the expert. We all learned something about relics that enriched our faith and understanding; the best part is learning the biblical basis of many Catholic customs!

I had to return my copy to the library before I was done. I was very interested in some of the projects; it looked like there were pretty good directions. I'll be checking it out again.

Enjoying this quite a bit. Written by an Italian historian with a dry sense of humor, which is refreshing when reading about the various barbarian acts of the Age of Exploration. this book is neither sentimental or hyperbolic, just realistic and entertaining. Why not 5 stars? No maps, of course (does include photos of historical maps but to see where these places are, you'll have to get out your atlas)!!
