Picked this one back up as an audiobook in an attempt to catch back up. Holy moly, this is SUPERB narration, with so many different voices, complementing Backman's wonderful character studies. I absolutely want to "read" more by this narrator. But of course the story is great, too.

Changing it up a little with some nonfic that’s been hiding on my shelves for years. It’s… ok so far? I know a bit of the background already, though.

I’m so far removed from having read the first two of this series, that it’s both a rehash and a complete blank. Still, I want to get this chonker off my bookshelf to make room for other books, so it’s an in-between read for me. As an aside: I’m having the hardest time getting through anything lately. Send help.

Borrowed this one from the Palace App rather than Libby, for a change and to check it out. More variety! The book itself is interesting. I don’t like that this app doesn’t show reading percentage, but I calculated it anyhow.

The thing about books that span lifetimes is that I never really feel like I’ve spent enough time with the character at major life moments, the skipping through time makes me lose track of who they are in my mind. And I’m going to put this out there, 50ish pages from the end: I was never convinced of Evelyn’s true love, despite the storyline.
