From reading the back cover I figured this to be a YA novel about a futuristic Cyborg girl helping find a cure for a plague.

I was sorta right... It is that but, it is also based on Cinderella. Hence the 'Cinder' title.

I guess it is good I didn't know this before, as I probably would have passed. But to be honest so far it is pretty good. Glad I am reading it so far.

This is one of those books that the description on the back does not even come close to resembling...

This is a story of a 12 year girl in a 20 year old female body that is supposedly the deadliest assassin alive, but still has pre-teen drama for boys and envy of other girls dresses... Nothing like what was presented in the description.

I only continue to read as the author is local to me, Uhhgg girl drama in prose

Struggle a little with the writing at times, but the 'pull' of the story is strong. Lots of weird and unanswered questions that keep pulling me through.

I know that Lee Child's reacher has a large following, but the writing is not very good. This particular book has too many unbelievable events and actions that make it too far from anything I can connect with. I will finish it, and I will likely try another in the series someday, but I will likely look for a fully recommended one before buying another. I do love the new series on Amazon, which is why I read this.

Trope'tastic and coincidental to infinity and beyond.

Not sure how this got such good ratings, It would make a good lifetime movie network show, just because it is so predictable and every clue or reveal is purely coincidence and back luck. It is as if every possible reason for the plot to progress because it was done before.

It is worth finishing, but I would not have started would I have known what I do now.

This is definitely one of the best sci-fi reads in a long time. I hope all the books hold to this level!
