Thunder cake mentioned!!! Anyways, I already am in absolute love with this book.

Loving the theme of voices. Being able to use them or not, being able to say what you’re thinking, losing your voice, using it to get help or not. Very interesting.

Not usually something I would choose but I’m intrigued.

Chapter 1 - I am going to try to commit to finished at least 25% of this. I will say I have a feeling this will be a dnf. The writing is a little too straightforward for my liking. A lot of the more flowery words are repeated a lot which is a little boring. Most of all, this book is already telling not showing.

Was waiting for buckeye symbolism to pop up. Did not expect it to be tom 🥲

I am so sucked into this story now, I have to force myself to put it away and sleep
