How do you review the end of a series you've lived with for three years?
The Crippled God is a phenomenal conclusion, building relentlessly until the final convergence hits with the force of a tidal wave. Every death landed because Erikson made me care deeply about these characters over thousands of pages.
His world-building, prose, humour, compassion and character work are unmatched.

It’s hard to put into words just how much this book affected me. Erikson doesn’t just write fantasy—he makes you live and feel it. Toll the Hounds is heartbreaking, profound, and utterly unforgettable. The world-building is flawless, the characters deeply human, and the emotional weight immense. A perfect book in an already incredible series.

Engaging and witty, Dead Lions shows off Herron’s sharp writing and character work. Personalities shine (or don’t, in the case of Lamb and Taverner), and it’s clear why the TV adaptation works so well. The casting is incredible—the characters on screen feel exactly as they do on the page.
