i'm conflicted - yes glamorizing alcoholism and a counter life; but somehow it hits. reminds me of lucia berlin, i loved her writing. its so different but somehow i long for that simplicity; but thats the craft.

1813-1883, retired, no help for that, bumming with jane, sunny side down, starting fast, for the concerned, you get so alone at times that it just makes sense, help wanted, how is your heart?, it's ours

I'm wondering what the title refers to, the secrets between them? I almost expected more of the story, it seemed actually too short. What's with the boys mom? The boatman guy also... Would he have come back for him?
