I knew, even before going into this one, that I probably wasn't going to enjoy it, what with the pseudo love square/rectangle/quadrilateral going on but this is somehow worse than I envisioned. Seriously, if Burned wasn't being narrated by Mac and featuring Barrons, I'd have zero motivation to continue through this. The things I do for Jericho Barrons...

I remain exceptionally unimpressed. I see a black sheep with my name on it looming in the immediate future...

Because I missed Sylvain. And, honestly, what's the point of owning a book if you're not going to curl up and re-read it whenever you feel like? ;)

Well, there goes my patience! Since the lovely people of my neighborhood continue to hog the six copies of this novel that reside in my library, I've decided to break into my emergency stores of cash and buy this on my Kindle. (My definition of what constitutes as an emergency might be a little bit different from the dictionary definition...just a little.) But who cares? Jon Snow! Tyrion! I've returned to Westeros!

...so her ability is called Divergence, the hottest guy in the school (also the star quarterback) has a crush on her (as did another hot guy), Duke (hot guy in question) called her "different" and her best friend encourages her to "tame the player." Wow, the originality has just rendered me speechless.

Considering how much I disliked THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US, this book will either be the most surprising novel of the year - if I enjoy it - or the most predictable if I don't like it any better than the last West novel I read...

...because there is absolutely nothing in the world as perfect as a Laura Florand novel when you're bedridden, sick, and in need of some desperate feel-good romance. (Not to mention chocolate and sexy French chefs!)

I don't think I've been so engrossed in a novel, but had so many mixed feelings about it, at the same time. Hodge really manages to capture so much RIGHT, but it's the meaningless tropes that keep bogging down this narrative. ...hopefully the second-half will make up for any flaws! *fingers crossed*

As always, the audiobook narration of Kleypas's novels are unbeatable. Sadly, I can't say I'm enjoying the story too much - it's more than a little grating. :/

Eh, just not feeling this. It lacks the signature wit and humor of Harper's usual works and although I love the depth given to the protagonist due to her abusive past, it doesn't make for much enticing reading. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for this one...on hold it goes! After all, I only need to read this by December...
