i have predictions that i am curious to see if they come true

well paced, interesting characters, and the plot is relatively engaging. a few things that have irked me but overall a fun and good read

really needed something to just relax with after private rites, and so far im enjoying this

nice that we get jude and stephanies perspectives, but im not actually convinced that they necessarily added much to the narrative (especially since stephanies perspective briefly morphed into agnes perspective from stephs?? like idk it was a bit of an odd choice)

This book is the definition of 'tell not show' and its infuriating; like everything is so spelled out that it cuts the tension trying to be developed

Finally making some movement, but the 'revelation' is not so much a 'revelation' as a 'what did you expect/stating the obvious'; maybe im being harsh but the last 100+ pages have set this up to feel like an expected outcome so im not sure what the 'shock' is

This book absolutely DRAGS i am almost 100 pages in and we haven't even got past the second sentence of the blurb on the back; its not bad per say, but it is not at all what i expected; very much more focused on the relationship between the 3 sisiters, which would be fine if the blurb reflected that expecatation 💀 i don't wanna DNF, but it for sure is threatening my ability to reach my reading goal😭

i’m a little confused about the condition of the world they’re living in but i’m sure it’ll become more clear (doesn’t help that i’ve been up since 6am and am currently on a plane💀)

at least i like the characters, despite the silly plot (im sorry but the implication that there are actual stakes is silly when u remember what the stakes are; like the plot is very much trying to push the 'political intrigue' narrative that does kinda exist, but it loses itself when u remember what the 'politics' are)(there's def a way for this to come off as less silly, i just dont think its being achieved here)

similar to how I felt about nightmare before kissmas, but it is insane how juvenile the plot is, like it is fully taking me out that this is supposed to be a steamy enemies-to-lovers adult romance, and the driving plot is 'we think St. Patrick's Day is stealing Christmas's joy! we have to stop them and get our joy back! 😠' it would almost be funny if it wasnt so distracting and eye-roll inducing💀

i am pleasantly surprised by how much i am enjoying this, it's actually incredibly engaging and interesting, and i can't stop reading

i’ve been thinking of watching sports and becoming a sports person, so maybe this will be the nail in the coffin (to be clear, i have no interest in watching men’s sports🥱)

loving this so far lol the show still doesnt really make sense to me but d'vaugn and kris are such lovely characters that they make up for the confusion, especially since it's clear that the focus is on them and not them competing in the show

I am enjoying this so far but i am very confused about how they show theyre competing in works. i dont watch reality TV tho so maybe it makes sense and its just my lack of knowledge ab these kinds of shows

so far better than ramona reily but the bar is low

i just want to make it known there is ZERO indication that this is a part of a trilogy/anthology anywhere in or on this book i found out that it was FROM GOODREADS💀 like it’s fine bc it’s basically a stand alone but i spend a good 1/3 of this book wondering why it kept referencing events and plot lines like i was supposed to know about them😭
