So we finally see Rip's POV and our dense-as-bricks buddy didn't even realize that Gil is in love with him. Well thank God for Katie, because that badass girl isn't going to let Rip get away with his shit and she lays down the law but good while still looking out for Rip because it's what Gil would want. I think I'm in love!

Alright, so now Rip has blatantly said he is just using Gil. Yet he does things that are sweet, tender, domestic, loving, and turns around and says it isn't anything deeper. Rip must see Gil falling in love and then he rips out his heart- a little worried to see how this ends.

I'm in for Gil and while I get that Rip has some concerns about image it feels like he's just using Gil. He'll absolutely never bottom? He won't be public about his relationships? I know Gil really wants this but I'm hoping that Rip is willing to bend a bit.

Cannot believe that I just now recognized Sam! I read the Marshals series first and only now do I realize that Sam is THE Sam Kage from that series! Love it!!

I love it! And I love Jory! He has taken total responsibility for himself and his life and I am so impressed. I just love him. But Sam....gah! Does he really not see how big of an asshole he is? How can he blame Jory so much? Jerkwad!!

So, I both enjoy it and don't? I spend half my time wondering at Jory, waiting for him to see his own hypocrisy....and then he does and damn. Just a bit of a crazy book so far, but I must say I'm hooked.

This was officially the most adorable story in the series. We meet Tori, the human born dragon of Gail and Toel. Since he was born in human form and can't shift to dragon yet, he was raised amongst humans for his safety. At seventeen humans see him as an adult- but the poor thing is a child. Luckily Jerney sees and understands thins, so when he is claimed as part of Tori's hoard he makes sure to take care of him.

This time we get to follow the young man that was the focus of power for the magi. Between being claimed through hoard law by a werewolf and an attempted rescue by his twin, he has things to figure out. The relationship between the twins was sweet and them finding love in a world that had always been cruel to them was delightful.

A pretty fast bond between the two in this story, but with an unexpected dynamic and very sweet results. Leon is a wolf, and his wolf wants the dragon he meets; Nyle is a dragon and wants to add the wolf to his hoard. They bond through their desires and grow in love as they stay together. The odd goings on in the kingdom further the story and open up future storylines.

Four (and a half) books in and I find myself more drawn in the further I go. Moving from standalone stories to this cohesive feel and I am so curious where it will go!

Seeing Red started off great, but then started to drag a bit. I was sitting there wanting them to just figure their crap out and the love triangle.....ugh. I could see it when they couldn't and it drove me up a wall. Also they just started feeling wrong for each other which increased the drag so I was glad when it finished.

Kyle is a douchebag. Will he be the entire book? Oh the anticipation.

Utterly fascinating. Having just read all of the short stories before going any further, you see that everyone's opinion of Jasper (even those that love him) is that he is cool, calm, laconic, often almost flat or without emotion. Yet, you read from what Jasper says here and you find out the simple sight of knives in the sink make him shake. Lovely contrast Lyga has built.
