I think I have a few of the secrets figured out, but John Marrs can misdirect and fool me like no one else.

Predates Dracula by 25 years and set the standards for vampire fiction.

Two weeks in and I am finally halfway through.

Thia sn't like anything I have ever read and I don't know how to describe it or if it even can be described in any meaningful way.

I am going to finish it tonight and spend the rest of my life processing it.

I didn't read a description or reviews, so I am three days in and slogging through.

First off, there are three timelines, which I am pretty sure is new to me. I love a good dual timeline, so I think I would normally love this, BUT one of the timelines is World War II Germany and that has been done so often that they are so predictable that they read like a cozy mystery. I will keep reading to see if I am right.
