A good introduction to major philosophical topics and thinkers. The topics could be dry, but the author is a good storyteller who clearly lays out points of view and their strengths and flaws.

Very interesting read in today’s political climate.

There is necessarily a lot of exposition, but Orwell’s descriptions are still vivid and engaging.

As much a psychological story as political commentary.
