Cyberpunk high tech, low life, kinda like my own life 📖🤖😈😜🤣

Initial explorations of the object are compared to the 20th century archeological explorations of ancient Egypt, but it's hard to visualize the descriptions.

Halfway the book already.
Book or smartphone, my options to kill time are very limited atm

Interesting madness but the book isn't mine and I'll be leaving tomorrow so it'll be a dnf probably.

The book takes place in Antwerp and is about Albanian mafia murder, all very realistic, read the previous book 10+ yrs ago but that doesn't seem to matter.
They have been made into movies but it's not on Netflix.
Also breaking the law is one thing, but doing that for some nationalistic honor code?? lol best is to have no code and just handle every situation on itself

Must be funny finding out you're Time magazine's man of the year 40 yrs in the future 🤔

The protagonist of the book seems to have a severe case of solipsism, a psychotic episode, or something else is going on...

Concentration all over the place, but at least I'm reading again.

There was a large slaughter on the farm but not for food, leather or money but purely for the rivalry of the pigs in control...

About halfway already, the animals have chased away the humans, so no more slaughter and abuse, and they can all work for themselves now.
This seems to go well for a while, but the smartest animals, the pigs who took leadership roles, are not getting along ...

So far I'm enjoying it more than The Neuromancer, less innovative perhaps, but the story and setting seem better represented to the imagination and play out more like a movie.
It could just be my own mindset that I'm better focused or something, but with all the Covid-19 shit going down atm I srsly doubt that 🤣

I doubt reality will turn out that way, they are complicit now cuz it's the right thing to do, but once the body count goes down restrictions need to relax.

Cyberpunk is often called dystopian but actually it isn't, tech and capitalism have advanced, and it describes the grittier walks of life.
Real-life under Covid-19 quarantine atm is more dystopian, but that too isn't really dystopian, we're just doing what we have to without a cure/vaccine.
