I started with an open mind. It seemed his aim was to an offer impartial assessment of how it wasn’t necessarily the defense that won the case, but how badly the prosecution botched it. 60 pages in, I’ve read about 3.5 pgs about the incompetent defense team. The rest how anyone who isn’t the author in any field of expertise is incompetent — “Arrogant Blowhard: Proposed New Title”.

This book is the book Britney should have written honestly — young fame, its pressures, young love with the wrong boys, young motherhood pressures, growing up with such a traumatizing family, coping w/ the mental health issues that could result from one of those things let alone all combined. Each have horrific trauma — JL’s near loss of her daughter; Britney birth into the Spears family altogether.

I’d just finished a book in the early a.m. hours. In A groggy state, I decided to read this, confusing Tavis Smiley with Travis Payne, who actually spent time with MJ during his last days. This book will drive you crazy if you like sources. Smiley never ceases to say what MJ is thinking, feeling, what situations make songs pop into MJ’s head…nobody can know that but MJ. Don’t waste your money.
