dragging a bit, I definitely understand the "Beartown should have been a standalone" sentiment

I never read romance.
Because the little that I read I found eye-roll worthy and just unrealistic and unrelatable.
I thought, maybe I am prejudiced.
I thought, let me give this one a try, I've heard good things about the author and this book.

I'm 75 pages in, and all I can think of is "and this is exactly why I don't read romance" because what the fuck is this

you know it's good when you start listening to it as an audiobook but 1/3 into it you switch to the ebook because better

Really liking this so far and annotating the heck out of it. Right now we're still in the world building & overall buildup of the story and topics at hand, so I am definitely looking forward to see what she's gonna do with them later on.
