I feel bad for Annie, but why can’t we go to other resources to find her mother? The library or a downtown government office. I understand her grandmother probably doesn’t have a photo of her daughter, but couldn’t Mr. Daniel tell her details like height, hair color, or have someone draw her. I’m just confused.

Reading all 3 books at once. Pray for me. I do like how this book follows families similar to “The Warmth of Other Suns” that followed 3 Black people that migrated to different parts of America to escape violence.

One of the first romance books I’ve read in a while that didn’t have a stupid misunderstanding that breaks the couple up right before they get back together.

At the point where I just want them to get together already.

This book is funny.
