I barely started it last time before I returned it. I just restarted, and I am loving it!

I barely finished it. Just not for me. I’m beginning to get that I’m apparently much more verbal than visual because I’m not always good at following storylines that are moved forward with illustrations. Plus it just felt childish. I generally love mythology and specifically Demeter but … nah. Not this time.

Not for me. As much as I love reading and thinking about words and where they came from, I only got a third of the way through this 22 hour audible. I’m done.

I actually was really drawn in by some of this and marked lots of places but never finished it. Maybe I should try it again in the summer?

Oh my gosh – – this one's going to be a bit of a challenge but I have a feeling oh so rewarding!

Start enjoying exactly where you are. Take risks (make plenty of nail holes!) Done is better than perfect. See the beauty in imperfections and stop apologizing.

Some people bounced back from a train rack and some people couldn't get over a bee sting.

This is feeling like a chore, especially once the author started describing Oscar's mom's life. Plus, all the Spanish word and phrases, only some of which I'm able to decipher. I'm giving it up.

I started listening to this on a play away by found it to be a pain. I kept making it skip around. It is really making me think and I'm enjoying it so much more than I thought I would!

Frighteningly realistic. I'm liking this a lot so far.

It's taking me forever to make my way through this book (what else is new?) but it's so easy to pick up and put down after reading just one or a two little vignettes in the life of this midwife. I just read the best one yet, "What FlowersAre These?" about a Christian Scientist who comes to her office.

Is it too late? Can I become a baby catcher??

I like her memoir books better but it's holding my interest.

I'm not getting sucked into this like I was hoping.

Saunders hooked me with the very first story, letting me in the head of 3 very real-feeling characters. I don't read a lot of short stories and forgot how fun it is to be plopped down in the middle of an already unfolding drama without all the extra verbiage. What a refreshing change from the book I just gave up on!
