The story is beginning to get interesting after a bit of a slower start than the first one. The new elements of blood magic used by the antagonist are a nice new touch...adding a unique way to the blood and gore factor to military fantasy. Hell, even Merlin has made an appearance to add a little Arthurian flavor to the story.
I'm hoping the action continues to build.
