Krakauer is honestly a lot more sympathetic to Mormons than I was lead to believe, pointing out that they're not radically different from other religious folks in America.

Unfortunately he does make some weird mistakes here.... Like why does my man think the 7-day week is a recent invention 😭

Granted, I didn't grow up in Utah, but so far the author's understanding of Mormons seems slightly off. I dated "non-members" in high school without issue, but I would have never said "ohmyg*d" out loud. The book seems overly zealous on some Mormon rules and not enough on others.
