Intriguing. Mysterious. What's causing the visions? Other life? Secret experiments? Why isn't anyone at the crash sites - no rescue parties make no sense if we're to believe what Lilac says about her relationship with her father. Love Lilac & Tarver's relationship, it's one step forward, two back. Very believable.

Dramatic yet understated. Each trying to protect the other but even their snarky exchanges have warmth to them. Both characters are likeable.

A lot of characters to get to grips with already! As expected of the author, we are thrust straight into events and the main storyline is swiftly revealed.

Hooked from the start. Really enjoying it. Wish I'd read the others as although am figuring out a lot of the backstory, haven't made sense of the Lucifer / Azazel connection and which of them is her dad?

Well I'm still feeling underwhelmed by the whole serum thing. If having sighted humans is so important, why did the remnants torture and kill those 4 in London? I don't know. I guess I thought that when they discovered those 4 bodies, it would evolve into a bigger plot line but it seems a bit forgotten about. I'm predicting Kavok's research is right & he finds someone that can bring back dead Fae. Lets see.

Hmmm. Well, I wasn't surprised to see Paige knew about the Fae. But I was surprised by the whole idea of a serum to make new sighted humans. I know it sounds odd but this is actually the bit I'm finding unrealistic! Also I feel like the plot's not flowing along as smoothly as it could - it's feeling a bit awkward and lumpy. I'm wondering whether Shane is a traitor? He's used to more money that's for sure.

Well, there's definitely more than the Fae are letting on about why McKenzie is so important and I don't think it's because she's a shadow reader. I haven't figured it out yet though . With the flashback to how McKenzie and Paige met, I'm wondering if Paige was a plant from the very beginning? I'm not convinced she's a captive.

Action packed so far. Don't feel at a disadvantage from not having read book 1 first. Am wondering whether Paige will turn out to be connected to the Fae in some way - has she really been abducted?
