I like Preuss's expansion of a short story with Investigator Ellen Troy solving a mystery and the cult operaing behind the scenes to hide the truth re: aliens and theor own nefarious agenda. Also, love an INTERPLANEARY settind. When scifi went interstellar it was because interplanetary was old news but now interstellar has been done to death and interplanetary is (at least to me) new (again) and exciting!

Not sure how many times I've read Telzey and Trigger stories, going back to original debuts in Analog magazine. Always fresh, great reads, some of the best scifi ever.

Something I read about two decades ago and is definitely worth a re-read. Cerebral tale of a BDO entering the solar system. (BDO = big dumb object, usually an abandoned alien spacecraft as large as an asteroid).

Jaycee is starting The Maid and the Queen: The Secret History of Joan of Arc
Most modern bios of Joan of Arc leave me less than impressed because the author lets their biases ruin what is a story of an outstanding life. Tell me the story but keep negative opinions to yourself, please. Anyway, Ms. Goldstone's bio looks to not suffer from that and also places Saint Joan in a contextual story of the times (specifically, interactions with Yolande of Aragorn). Looking forward to reading it!

Third time reading this fun, little novel. The quintessential sneak thief with a heart

Fourth time through this book and it never gets old. Best and most often read book in this apartment. Chris has read it four times as well.

Elaine Cunningham does a nice job with fleshing out interesting characters and situations. As mentioned, WotC may have dropped the ball on follow up but this is a fun book to read. Love to go osquip bashing!

I love this book, a fast paced, character driven book of a rogue, a sneak thief, who uses her wit to make her way. Prose that is damned near perfect. Ari Marmell 100% on target!
