Yeah so I love this, I haven’t devoured a book like this in a long time. I will be reading this entire book today

That’s not at all where I thought this was going. My first thought is ew wtf but let’s see if that’s where this is supposed to go.

There are a few authors that I will always read the books they release (or at least put it on my TBR with the intent of getting to it sooner than later) Marissa Meyer is one. So far this isn’t BAD by any means but I do feel like it’s a little contrived, the characters aren’t SUPER memorable, and the biggest problem so far is it’s CRAZY slow. The plot just started and I’ve been reading for 4 hours.

Page 286, editing mistake :( “the outside of a bar where an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race” was filmed. As far as I know or could find, all episodes of drag race (besides finales which are in theaters) are filmed on a sound set.

Man this book is really frustrating me. I guess I’m not crazy about slow burns especially when two other innocent parties are involved but like… idk y’all I think I’ll finish but idk if I’m gonna come out of this happy

Saenz has a way of writing that I think would be so pretentious from anyone else but it’s so sincere from him I love it. I really do think Ari thinks of the world this way.

I absolutely adore Ari. I love being in his sweet, sensitive, well meaning and overthinking mind. I can relate to it so bad. I REALLY love when he becomes self aware and almost self conscious of how down he is on himself. I feel u there buddy

If Sohrab is dead I will be giving this book 2 stars

The profile literally takes place in Disneyland after reopening to “the new normal” after being closed for the longest closure ever like... comeon

I am chapters away from the end but like... had to comment that the final part of this book is titled “A New Normal” like.... HOW DID THEY KNOW??

This book makes me so thirsty... and this is so good, it’s just. So bingeable

Liking it a lot so far! Reading a dystopian set in modern day America coming off of a pandemic is probably a bit too real but it’s starting to escalate to the point where it’s not as real anymore. Neal just knows how to write a world that’s just a little bit worse then ours so well

I was gonna finish it today because this is the last day with my audiobook from the library but apparently it returns at a specific time because it disappeared like an hour ago? So I’m gonna start “Dry” and hope it picks off where I was when I get this book back

I know that the obvious decision would be to give Jason a prequel series that like follows alongside PJO from his point of view, but I feel like I’d love that exact series but Reyna.

Okay so I HAVE to comment on the audiobook. I didn’t like the voices the narrator did for the characters all last book, especially for Hazel, Frank, Percy, Nico, and Leo, but I draw the line at how he pronounces “Thalia.” The H is silent! No one is named THalia! You do not pronounce it “THomas.”

Already liking this more than Son of Neptune... and finally we get Annabeth chapters!

Unfortunately, this is taking me much longer to get through then any of the Percy Jackson books... I like being back in the world but I am not enjoying any of these characters as much as I remember. 😭Jason in particular is just... really boring. SORRY! Straight up if this book followed JUST Piper or JUST Leo I might like it more but rn I’m thinking it’ll be 3 stars

This was as far as I was allowed to get on my ebook version for tonight. I will have to scowl the city for it tomorrow.

I just read “That Poor Girl and How He Killed Her” by Jen Silverman. It’s not yet on here. That makes it the second play I’ve read this year that’s not on here. My reading challange is now at +2, so as I’m posting this I am at 57 books this year

I’ve picked this bad boy up again in my effort to never DNF a book, and I really enjoyed the snippet I read tonight! The topic is super appealing to me, I just wish reading non-fiction wasn’t so hard for me.

😢 I hate to be a negative Nancy especially about a book loaned you me by my boyfriend that I’ve had on my TBR since Middle school about someone who meant a great deal to me coming out, but I’m not super into this. IDK what I was expecting, maybe more autobiography and less self-help, but I feel like I’m being talked down to by someone essentially the same age and it’s weird. Not gonna DNF tho.
