Leslie Davis is starting Murder at Hotel 1911 (Ivy Nichols Mystery #1)
The narration is pretty bad. Trying to get through it.

It’s one of those “No one believes her” themes and I enjoyed how it all came about. Although her action at the end seemed a bit extreme, it gave the bad guy a life-long regret.

Leslie Davis is starting The Park of Sunset Dreams (Dare Valley, #6)
This is one of the most juvenilely written adult books I’ve come across. Phrases like “the sunset crested over her creamy cheekbones”. Gag. They are everywhere. Also, in the Bingo section, I never heard of C4, D18, F-whatever being called for a Bingo card. Copious use of “Of course” abound. Don’t know why I’ve continued to stick with it.

Leslie Davis is finished with All the Forgivenesses
A disappointing book that didn't really have much of a point. Thought about giving up on it, stuck with it, but it was like a movie where you wait for something to happen. It didn't.

This was so timely, so relevant, and so well done, I just have to marvel at her ability to handle very difficult topics with such detail and insight. I can’t think of any book that Picoult has written that has been a disappointment and this definitely was not a disappointment.

On hold. Not sure if I will finish it. Not very engaging.

Leslie Davis is starting Dear Mrs. Bird (The Emmy Lake Chronicles, #1)
Couldn’t get through it. Narrator was bad and characters not likeable. Skipped to end and it went as expected. Boring.

One of Connelly’s best. Great story of catching a serial killer

I didn’t get very far into it and could not continue. Very dark, unlikeable “hero” and disjointed narrative.

Leslie Davis is finished with The Summer Garden (Chesapeake Shores, #9)
TEDIOUS! Way too much angst and insecurity with the two main characters. Moira made it a point to make Luke guess what she was upset about - again and again and again. And with a continuous dose of family advice and intervention to convince one or the other of something, it was just tiresome.
