Can this book get any more ridiculous?

Excellent so far. The story could have been conceived by JJ Abrams. Which is weird because I’m also reading a book actually written by Abrams (S.) and that one is not very good at all.

Not bad but the whole story about the succubus being saved and becoming an ally looks like it’s been ripped off from the first Felix Castor novel by Mike Carey (released 8 years prior) 🤔

I’m going to have to stop listening to the audiobook because of the narrator (Anna Massey).
First of all the narrator in the book is 30-something while Massey clearly is way older.
Also most of the voices for each character are absolutely terrible, but she kept the worst for Poirot... I’ve never heard anything sillier.
I’ll finish the book on paper.

Fantastic. Best book I’ve read in a while. Beautiful sentences that I sometimes reread for the pleasure of it.

I was disappointed by all the supernatural series I tried this year. Hell’s Library, Lockwood & Co., Odd Thomas, Grim Reaper… I couldn’t even finish the first episode.
But it seems my perseverance has finally paid of: I fully enjoy Rivers of London, characters, humor, pacing and all.

1. Where the hell is Poirot?
2. I wish to never hear the words “Mr Satterthwaite” again in my life. Once every 20 seconds for 3 hours (so far) is more than enough thank you.
