It’s a great book for wine enthusiasts but Am listening to an audiobook and it is rather hard to follow

It’s a great educational book, dense with lots of research and data, which I find it a perfect read when I cannot sleep 😄

💗 but of course we are. I’m also loving the writing style of this book a lot!

Superb research and a very well written audiobook. Unfortunately it’s very long and if it was a hardcopy, I would have skipped several hours of say Lyme disease that is fascinating in itself but currently has little interest to me. However, the viruses part and especially Corona virus is very interesting having in mind that this was published pre Covid-19 and clearly predicted an outbreak leading to global pandemic

Sorry Mr Hemingway but you’re just not for me. 50% into this audiobook and I’m really not enjoying a single story. Although I found it tedious, I could potentially appreciate how intricately The author describes small details- ie shiny damp small piece of morning grass etc… However, apart from the descriptive writing, I found the stories pointless. No deep moral or thought provocation.

I’m nearly a third way through listening to these short stories and I am not sure I can carry on with them… I have no doubt Hemingway is an Amazing writer but I’m yet to find a meaning behind any of these stories. Also he loves fishing. Lots of fishing. Oh and trout. Hemingway loves trout. Me? Not so much..
