I found the opening of this book terrible. Not the content, but I couldn't figure it out. I felt like I had been dropped a chapter in and kept trying to figure out What The Heck is going on.

2nd read, I read it a couple years ago, but when I started The Further Adventures, I realized I needed a refresher of this first one.

It's taken me 2 borrows from the library to get through this library book and I dislike this book intensely! I've only finished it because I wanted to complete the series. Better title: The Idiot And The Twat
Of course the future groom has to be gay and everyone loves someone whom they can't have, nor get their finger out and tell them. Idiots, Twats, Morons and BORING!!

Around 7% of the book, they're all at the bar after his funeral, and I already know Maddox is alive; faked his death. He 'planned' everything to the inth degree. That said, I'm loving the story, fun and pretty well written. 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

This CUNT is stupid! Second leap and she takes drugs and thinks fucking a nameless, random guy five minutes after leaping! Like you could go from the maturity of 51 years and be so stupid!!!!! Not to worry though.... a few days later she takes more drugs, cause fucking stupid people never learn.
I'm 50% through and will jump to her next leap and see if the cunt got any brains.

I was very interested in this book from the description. I borrowed it on Libby, but my sister listened to it first. She really enjoyed it, so I was excited.
Three chapters in and I want to slap the author. Poor little brat. Boo Hoo. F**k off. Why in the hell is Disassociated Disorder a good topic for fiction.
Going to try a few more chapters, but right now I think this is a STEAMING PILE OF SHIT!!!

First, the people who tell you that 500 pages in response to the question "Who were you to my father?", are correct saying that it was tres, tres,de trop!
So many people comment on the amount of sex Vivian has throughout the book. Listen, this is to display, via contrast, the deep love she had with Frank (the father in question) by never having sex with him. He never punctured village bicycle tire; true love.

My partner, retired Marine, suffers from PTSD, so the drama enacted by our "hero" is hollow and melodramatic.

Whilst I think its important to remember the atrocities committed, they should not be documented in pulp fiction. The socialite read as a twit and a twat. The Polish girl should have been a bit likeable, wouldn't hurt to give her some depth of character.... and does the author actually hope we will sympathize and understand her!?!?!!!!

Nope, could not keep my attention.

I started first with the second book, Lost Art of Mixing, and felt myself losing the​will to live. Why the f**kfire do I need to know that Al's mother worked nights? Anyway, I came to Goodreads for inspiration and found out that there was a Book 1 - so I borrowed this book, and I waited through Prologue and Chapters 1&2. Now I feel full-circle. Why In F**kFire Am I Supposed To Care!?!?
I will give it 60min more​.
