I just can't seem to get interested in this. Kind of slow moving. Maybe if I could sit down and read a bigger chunk of it at a time, I'd be more invested in the characters.

This is so good!

It's getting long for me. So much about the war, I don't think I want to continue. I've had so many books that I'm not finishing lately...

Not sure if I'll continue this book. I like the story, and the main character that owns the hotel, but I don't like all the bad language.

Did not finish. I loved her last book, These Silent Woods, but I couldn’t connect with the characters in this one.

I'm loving this book! It's my type of story, great characters and setting. I'd love to find more like this.

I’m going to stop reading this. Not in the mood for a heavy read.

Oh my goodness! I’ve laughed and cried. Beth’s story is so moving, so beautifully written. I feel so blessed to be reading her memoir. I’ve loved her heart for God, and her incredible Bible studies for decades. ❤️

Wow, I can’t believe how good this book is! The twist at 50% is a big one! This really good book has been sitting waiting for me on my kindle since 2019. Glad I finally got around to it!

While this is a very well written and interesting story, I am going to set it aside for now. As with all Holocaust books, this is extremely sad. I may come back to it another time.

I got this book from the library. While I love the story, I just don't have the time to get through it right now. I'm going to stop 100 pages in, and hope to read it another time.

I read 1/2 of this, and decided I’m just not not into it right now. I’m setting it aside for my daughter. I usually enjoy Sarah Addison Allen books with bits of whimsical magic sprinkled in, but I didn’t really connect with any of the characters on Mallow Island.

I'm about 1/2 way through this book, and it is SO good! It will be out tomorrow for everyone to read. You'll love it!

I thought this was going to be about the kids in the picture. It is about the reporter that took the photo. I am bored with it so far and thinking of giving it up.

Setting this aside to read The Dream Daughter.. I’ve been looking forward to my name coming up on the library hold list! Diane Chamberlain is a favorite author. I know it will be good!
