Putting this down at chapter 5. I am enjoying it, but I am not in the mood for a high fantasy series at the moment and I want to put it down before too much stars happening.

This had such a unique magic system that I enjoyed learning about and the plot was refreshing. The only thing docking the rating a little bit is that something in the chemistry between our love interests was a little off for me. Nothing was glaringly bad between them, I just did not buy into their connection. I am still really excited to read book two and see where the story goes!
