I’m into the story but I will never understand authors forgoing quotation marks. I don’t care the reason behind it, I hated it when McCarthy did it and i hate it now, I AM TOO STUPID FOR THIS. Quit making me re-read your (tbh not Pulitzer Prize winning!) writing because you wanna take stylistic liberties GROW UP.
