Struggling with the tiny font, so I'm just dipping in now and again.

Struggling with this because the font is small.

I wasn't sure I was going to stay with this at the beginning because a male character so annoyed me. I'm still not sure I'll finish it for other reasons, but I haven't abandoned it just yet.

Not liking this much, so far. Depressing.

Still reading the introduction, but I'm finding the font a bit difficult because of my sight problem. I'll be continuing with my magnifier.

I realised at the beginning that I'd heard a serialised reading of this on the radio, so I'm not coming exactly fresh to this book.

Lockdown lethargy kicked in. Go to a busy station or museum? Ha! Visit a garden centre and draw the people? Haha! I' just dipping in occasionally, having found other things to do.

I'm lagging behind the one-a-day. I've definitely reached a point where I know what exercises I don't like in this book, and some of them are out of the question during a pandemic.

Almost keeping up with the one a day. The paper isn't behaving well with ink (bleeds through) or water colour (buckling and some bleed-through).
Pastel rubs off on the opposite page. But it works well with coloured pencils and with acrylic if it's not too wet.

This book was a gift from my daughter who knows how much I love rust - its textures, colours and patterns. The book is very short and I love the cover. But oh what a tedious read! I shall persevere in the hope that it gets better after my current sticking point.

Some of these exercises are taking longer than a day to complete, while others take only a few minutes. As soon as it begins to be a chore, I'll slow down a lot.

I'm re-reading this after a 55 year gap, and I'd forgotten how much I like the writing. 'She was as sore as an alderman with mumps.'

I'm finding this a bit depressing so far, not great for bedtime reading.

Struggling with this, it reads like a lads' fantasy mag. Excessive detail of armaments and what people look like. And the descriptions of women make me grit my teeth. It was recommended to me because I like Karin Slaughter, but this bears no resemblance in content or quality. I'm reading a Kindle edition and it has obviously not passed through a final edit yet. I'll try to get a bit further, but I may give up soon.

I'll never finish this one, the subject matter is too uncomfortably close to home.
