Very different from the movie, but it's not bad.

I keep getting confused by characters referencing things that the other character experienced but didn't share with them--and wouldn't have had the chance off-page to tell them. So odd

Okay, this book has become serious with high stakes--yet still fun and entertaining.

Already don't want to stop reading. So funny, clever, and enjoyable.

Got sucked in right away and can't stop reading....

For some reason, Amy's actions are really annoying me. Am I always this annoyed by her?

I'm pretty sure I know what will happen and it'll make me hate the book, but I plan to finish reading it anyway.

Haven't read a book with characters saying how good something is so often and not have multiple explicit scenes that make that statement believable. Not complaining; it's just outside my experience.

How does Maggie not tell off Rafe for the constant disparaging comments about her and her profession? The more horrible comments he makes, the less attractive he is. He is obviously intimidated by her.

Has anyone even asked the local PD about "detective" Liam? And what is up with Cash telling Summer to date Liam to find out more about him or the case? She is clearly uncomfortable around the stranger. But I will finish this....

Still trying to clear up confusion from earlier in the book, where they mention an almost-kiss encounter before they met. But I'm just going to keep reading...

I pay attention when I read and understand there are an increasing number of characters in the series, but there are too many similar names.

She's a little too quick to forgive and forget. I'll finish this book, but I might have to stop reading the series.

Not done, but it's already much better than the movie, which I liked.

I really don't like the British author. I also don't know why Teddie just doesn't ask her mom, "Would you rather I be dead?" That would stop all the comments about her choices for cancer treatment. I might have to skim over any scenes with these two characters.

Rereading before starting the next book in the series.

Not bad so far, but I get the impression that this was rushed or had a different standard for editing. Nothing horrific, just some "wait, what?" moments. For example, Maureen is talking to someone on the phone and the text describes that the person on the other end "ticked off the names on red-hued fingertips."

This is stressing me out!

I would expect by this point in the book that Mark and Rowen would have more of an actual relationship developing. Like talking and listening and understanding and explaining. It's just odd.

Unless the raccoon is her familiar and talks, it should not be in the cafe. It's really hard to ignore that; it's taking me out of the rest of the story.

Multiple days have passed, and Allie has not spent time with or contacted her boyfriend. Did they break up?
