So far I find this book beautifully written. I'm listening to the audio book while working and there have been times where I've stopped working just to fully listen to the story being told. It's incredibly descriptive and almost poetic.

For a slave, Persephone is really abrasive and annoying. For attitude doesn't match her situation or her back story at all. I get the author is going for the "badass bitch, strong willed" vibe but it doesn't match what's happening so far.

I'm kind of confused because not much of anything is happening yet some big "plan" keeps being mentioned but nothing has come of it yet. Is anything going to happen?

Wow this is garbage...

It seems like amateur writing. Going from something serious to "I'm hungry, let's go" just to try to push the plot along. You don't need to. Finish the conversation and then new chapter, new location.
