This book is atrocious. It's full of anachronisms, the heroine is vain and immature, and the way it skips from one thought to another is enough to give anyone whiplash. But whatever twisted urge drove me to drink Four Lokos while watching Jersey Shore with my friends in college has me completely obsessed. It's a train wreck. It's almost certainly bad for my heart and brain. I cannot look away.

So far this is much more boring than it has any right to be considering how much it talks about dogs. A lot of people I follow rate it pretty highly, and apparently it really shines at the end, so I'm sticking it out, but whew... not a whole lot has happened and I'm more than halfway through...

Whew! This one is not an easy listen. Only a few hours in and already I feel so much rage and heartache. Fuck racists, people who help racists get away with crimes, and people who are so sure they can do no wrong, they ruin lives without a second thought.

What's more horrifying than a story of real-life desperation and tragedy? Add a dash of the paranormal.
