Got to read this before I even THINK about the movie. It’s been on my tbr since before the movie was greenlit so you can see how good I am with deadlines

RLS jumps us straight into the setting and does not waste time getting into the mystery of it all. This one’s a speedy pace but still controlled. The story is somewhat known to me through cultural osmosis but I’ll be interested to see what adaptations have bungled. I was already mildly surprised by Hyde not being some kind of disfigured ghoul ala visual portrayals
