A decent book, but great. I was surprised that I seemed to like the first half of the book more than the second half where the fairy tale aspect really started.

After reading Sabrael, I was second guessing whether to finish the series, but I was surprisrd, I found Lirael to be much better than the first book, and now I can't wait to to finish the trilogy
